A game of bull-headed bluffs! 6 nimmt! Baron Oxx is a fresh spin on the beloved take-that classic from designers Wolfgang Kramer and Michael Kiesling. Five rows of cards sit in the middle of the table. Everyone chooses a card in secret, reveals at the same time, and then places the cards in order from lowest number to highest, matching the colors of the bullheads at the end of each row. Put down the sixth card in a row, or push a row past six bullheads of one color, and you take the whole row. Bullheads are negative points, and nobody wants bullheads! The wild Baron Oxx card can be played on any color row, but it can blow up in your face if you misjudge it.

Gameplay Overview: If you’ve played 6 nimmt! or Take 5, you’ll know the feeling: everyone reveals their cards at once, and then you watch nervously as they fill up the rows. Baron Oxx keeps that tension but adds a new layer, color. Cards can only go on rows with matching bullheads, so you often get to choose where your card lands. That gives you more control, and more chances to set up your friends to take a painful row. Rows can now fill up by bullhead count as well as by length, so disaster can strike sooner than you expect. Baron Oxx himself is a wild card that fits anywhere but comes with a hefty penalty. It plays with anywhere from 2 to 10 players in about half an hour, so it’s a great choice for big groups, family gatherings, and anyone who loves laughing through a game where everything goes wrong.
