Every legend has a beginning... and an end. Forbidden Legacy is a bold new chapter in the award-winning Forbidden series from Gamewright and designers Matt Leacock and Rob Daviau. In this cooperative legacy game, your story, your choices, and your survival leave permanent marks across seven connected adventures. Each session, you’ll open sealed boxes, discover new rules, find powerful relics, and face growing threats from a world that remembers everything you’ve done. The Chronicle, a beautifully illustrated pulp-style comic storybook, guides your journey with new missions, mechanics, and surprises along the way. Win a game, and you’ll change future missions. Make a costly mistake, and the island may never forgive you.

Gameplay Overview: Forbidden Legacy keeps the fast, cooperative heart of Forbidden Island and adds a story that grows with every game. Each player takes on a unique role, and on your turn you take a few actions to explore the map, gather elemental stones, and help your team toward the mission goal. Meanwhile, the threat meter keeps climbing, so every turn is a race against time. As you go, you’ll open sealed boxes with surprise contents, add stickers to your field journals, and make choices that permanently change the map and the rules. A mysterious time portal and a warp envelope hint at twists we won’t spoil. It’s easy enough for families with kids 10 and up, and deep enough to keep experienced players hooked. It’s a great way to introduce your group to legacy games, and you’ll be eager to see how your story ends after each of the seven episodes.
