The moor and heathland landscape is home to countless species — the moor stores masses of water in the peat, while numerous rivers and waterfalls provide a pleasant, humid climate. The game mechanics remain unchanged: you pick up two cards or play a card into your moorscape. Players compete in gathering the most valuable trees, shrubs, and terrain cards to attract species, creating an ecologically balanced habitat for flora and fauna. Gameplay Overview

Forest Shuffle: Dartmoor is a fully standalone entry in the Forest Shuffle family, bringing the same elegant card-drafting and habitat-building gameplay to the rugged landscape of Dartmoor National Park. The core loop is unchanged — draw two cards or play one, paying its cost by discarding from your hand — but Dartmoor introduces meaningful new twists. Terrain cards are played horizontally and serve as feeding grounds or living spaces for a different class of species than trees or shrubs, adding a new layer of ecosystem strategy. Asymmetrical caves are drafted at the start, giving each player a unique starting condition, and the threshold for bonus actions has been lowered from eight to six tree symbols to keep the pace brisk. Beautiful illustrations by Judit Piella and Toni Llobet bring the moors to life, and three winter cards tucked into the deck ensure every game ends with genuine tension.
