The Isle of Cats Duel is a competitive, standalone game designed specifically for two players, set in the beloved world of The Isle of Cats.

Go head-to-head in this cat-placement board game and prove, once and for all, that you are the best cat rescuer. In the game, you are citizens of Squalls End on a rescue mission to the Isle of Cats and must save as many cats as possible before the evil Lord Vesh arrives. Each cat is represented by a unique tile and belongs to a family; you must find a way to make them all fit on your boat while keeping families together.

The Isle of Cats Duel replaces the card drafting from the original game with a new movement system. Guided by an Oshax cat, players take turns moving around the island. Where you move will determine which cats, treasures, and lessons you can access and will shape the options available to your opponent on their next turn. In the end, the player who best balances rescuing cats, completing lessons, and limiting their opponent's options will prove themselves as the ultimate cat rescuer.

Gameplay Overview
The Isle of Cats Duel is a purpose-built two-player version of the beloved cat-rescue polyomino puzzle game, redesigned from the ground up for head-to-head play. The core puzzle remains deeply satisfying: fitting uniquely shaped cat tiles onto your boat board while keeping cat families together for bonus points. What's new is how you access those cats — instead of card drafting, both players share a physical Oshax cat figure that moves around the island board. On your turn you move the Oshax, then take the cats, treasures, or lessons from that location. The elegant catch: where you move the Oshax directly determines what your opponent has access to on their turn, creating a constant push-pull of taking what you need while denying what they want. The result is a tighter, more interactive experience than the original that still delivers the same cozy, tactile satisfaction of fitting cats perfectly into your boat.
