Rev your engine and hit the road with Thunder Road: Ignition! It's an all-new, standalone game of post-apocalyptic racing in which your crew tears across the wasteland trying to get its cars over the finish line first. The roads are dangerous, the other crews are aiming for you, and barricades are everywhere. Your crew has lost its chopper, but your cars now come loaded with missiles. Look out for new terrain, rubble, and hazards, and use pit stops to repair your damaged cars before you fall too far behind. New half-size and curved road boards make for twisty, unpredictable tracks. Ignition is a quicker, easier way into Thunder Road in a smaller box, and much of its content can be mixed with Thunder Road: Vendetta and its expansions for endless variety.

Gameplay Overview: Each player runs a crew of three cars racing across a road that builds as you go. On your turn, you roll dice to move your cars, ram rivals off the road, and dodge hazards. Your crew's missile can hit anyone on the road, so nobody's lead is ever safe. Ignition has a friendlier take on damage than earlier versions. Instead of being knocked out for good, a beat-up car only sits idle until you activate it again with a die, so everyone stays in the race to the end. The curved road tiles and pit stops keep each race feeling different. It's quick to teach, full of dice-rolling chaos, and a great fit for families and casual groups. Longtime Thunder Road fans will find plenty of new pieces to mix into their Vendetta collection.
