Railroad Tiles, a sequel to the roll-and-write series Railroad Ink, is a quick-playing tile placement game in which you pick tiles and place routes to build an interconnected community. Draft your tiles and then place your routes in front of you, trying to make as many connections as possible. Play cars, trains, and travelers to earn points: the more pieces of the same kind each new placement connects to, the more points you earn.
Gameplay Overview
Railroad Tiles takes the beloved network-building spirit of Railroad Ink and gives it a physical makeover — swapping dice and dry-erase boards for actual tiles you draft and lay out in front of you. Over eight rounds, players draft route tiles from a shared pool and build their own personal transportation network, placing cars, trains, and travelers to score points based on how well they chain together. The more you connect pieces of the same type, the more points you earn, rewarding clever routing and long-term planning over random luck. With multiple expansion packs available (Canals, Countryside, Desert, Energy, Forest, Lakes, Monuments, and World) as well as a Collector's Edition containing everything, it's a game that scales beautifully in complexity and variety. A great entry point for fans of tile-laying games and a satisfying step up for Railroad Ink veterans.
